Uehara, Miyoko's Obituary
Miyoko Uehara (Asato), 99 years old of Kahului, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Maui Hospice Hale. She was born on July 14, 1925, in Lahaina, Maui.
Miyoko was a seamstress for most of her life, then went on to be a sushi maker for another 25 years, before retiring at the age of 83. She enjoyed attending Maui Adult Day Care Center at Hale Mahaolu, in Kahului where she made many new friends and especially enjoyed playing bingo. She also loved traveling, Las Vegas being her favorite, and was a big UH sports fan.
Miyoko is survived by four children: Roy (Lauren) Uehara, Janet (Dale) Medeiros, Ruby (Garret) Yip and Roland (Toby) Uehara; Nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Nakamura Mortuary in Wailuku, Maui. Visitation 10-11 a.m., service 11 a.m. - 12 noon with refreshments to follow 12 - 1.
