Natsuko Imoto's Obituary
Natsuko “Hilda” Imoto, 87, of Kahului, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2017 at Hale Makua Kahului.
Services honoring Ms. Imoto will be held at Kahului Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, with a service at 5 p.m. Burial will be on Thursday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Maui Memorial Park.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Ms. Imoto was born on June 1, 1929 in Wailuku, Maui. In 1957 she moved to Los Angeles with sister, Sarah to seek greater opportunities. Hilda employed by, then Security Pacific National Bank, started at the entry level and worked her way to retirement as Operations Supervisor at the head branch. She loved her work, her church, her family and friends. She had a very happy and fulfilling life in California. After 35 years in Los Angeles, she returned to Maui to live with her older sister, Kazue. On Maui, Hilda renewed old friendships, got closer to family, all of her new nieces and nephews and their children, and devoted herself to the Lord and Kahului Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by father, Fusaichi; mother, Chitose; brothers, Mitsugi (Miyoko) and Masaru (Fujiko); sisters, Kazue (Yoshiharu) Suzuki and Sarah Setsumi (Jack) Lord. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, brother, Tadashi (Mariko) and Thomas (Maria); sister, Carol Yukiko Sakugawa, and many loving nieces and nephews.
