Kekai will be forever known as a person of truth, courage, humility and hana nui, hard work. As keiki o ka ʻāina, child of the land, Kekai embraced fully, with passion and purpose his responsibilities as a servant and steward to our beloved land, Maui, Hawaiʻi. Having been raised and mentored by parents Vincent and Irene, on their family farm, Kahanu ʻĀina Greens, alongside his sister Kahanulani, Kekaiʻs values, morals and work ethic was phenomenal.
Mau ke ea, mau ke aloha no Kekai, a gathering of continuing spirit and love for Kekai, will be held at Maui Tropical Plantation upon the Field of Dreams on Sunday, June 9th starting from 9:30a. A Hawaiian protocol ceremony and service will begin promptly at 11a. with lunch and fellowship to follow till 5p. Please feel free to bring a comfortable lawn chair or hāliʻi to sit on. This is a non-alcoholic ceremony.
Kekai remains in the hearts, minds and souls of his beloved family, ʻOhana Mina, ‘Ohana Na’auao, ʻOhana Lani,ʻOhana Plunkett, ʻOhana Benavides, ʻOhana Pokipala, ʻOhana Jensen, ʻOhana Lani-Carino, ʻOhana Lani-Montira, ʻOhana Weltman, & ʻOhana Roy, ʻOhana Kaiapuni o Maui, his treasured friends, wahine Annina Wild, his sweet ʻIlio ʻO Nahenahe and all who knew is his angelic smile and await to see it once more. MAU KE ALOHA.
