Norma Sue Luker's Obituary
Norma Sue Luker was born to Benard and LaVon Linkhart and raised in the small town of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. As a child, she enjoyed spending summers with her brother, Bennie Robert, on their grandparents’ farm in rural Oklahoma. Norma also has two younger sisters Barbara Lou and Dianna Lyn. Norma Sue graduated from Sapulpa High School. She worked as a secretary at a family glass production company called Liberty Glass, where her father also worked.
Norma married Bill Luker, also of Sapulpa. Soon after marrying, Bill and Norma moved from Oklahoma to Southern California. Norma put her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and raised their five children, keeping them focused on education, involved in church, music, and arts. She was a devoted and loving mother with a great sense of humor; she was always laughing. Norma loved spending time with her children, caring for their many family pets and working in her beautiful rose garden. Norma was brought home to her son Daren’s home in Maui from California, where she was lovingly cared for until her peaceful passing on April 20th, 2023, at 89 years old. Norma Sue will be lovingly remembered for her beautiful roses, warm smile and wonderful spirit. "I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe was the perfect song playing as she peacefully passed away.
Norma is predeceased by her oldest son, Bryan Luker and her loving husband, Bill Luker. She is survived by her children: Linda Luker, Daren (Kathleen) Luker, Denise (Gabby) D’Haenens-Luker, and David Luker; her grandchildren: Marley, River, Koa, Brandon, Ashley (Steven), and Tia; and her great-grandchildren: Leo, Kauila, Nateya, Keaka, Scott, Jace, David, Vivian and Grayson.
