Norman Paul Young Ham's Obituary
Norman "Norm" Paul Young Ham left this earth on April 2, 2023 at age 70.
Born on the island of Maui, Norman was a boarder at Lahainaluna High School, avid football player and wrestler. Norm attended Northrop Rice Aviation Institute of Technology in Inglewood California and graduated as an Aviation Maintenance Technician. He returned back to Maui and secured employment at Hamai Appliance as an appliance repair man and later opened his own business known as Norm's Appliance Repair. In addition, he was an instructor at the University of Hawai'i Maui College.
Norman retired his business in 2017 and kept busy with fishing, farming, and spending time with his grandchildren. Norm created lifelong connections with everyone he met. He was involved with the Korean Benevolent Society of Maui, Maui Trailer Boat Club and participated with the Ma'alaea Ebisu Kotohira.
Norman is survived by his brothers, David, Michael, Walter, and Jason. Daughters, Alyssa (Kyle) Takushi and Chelsey Ham. Grandchildren Chylea, Kahiau, and Chaysen. Mother of his children Claudia Ham Companion/Caregiver Jennifer Texeira and predeceased by parents Simon & Lorraine "La'a"; Son Matthew.
