Norman Masato Kawamura's Obituary
Norman Masato Kawamura, 82 of Lahaina, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2024 under hospice care at Hale Makua, Kahului.
He was born on May 18, 1941, in Puukolii (Lahaina), and graduated from Lahainaluna High School. Norman was a retired stagger/operator for Pioneer Sugar Mill, and a Busser for Kahana Keyes restaurant and Kobe Steakhouse.
He is predeceased by his parents Takeshi and Toshimi Kawamura, sister Aileen Lin Kee and brother Roy Kawamura.
Norman is survived by his son, Dale (Nicole) Kawamura, granddaughter Janae (Akoni Hamilton Golis) Kawamura, grandson Justin Kawamura, sister Dorothy Wong, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He will be remembered as an avid Ulua fisherman and tako diver.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 9:00am-12pm at Nakamura Mortuary with burial to follow at Maui Memorial Park.
