Patricia Ann Preseault's Obituary
Patricia Ann Preseault from Vermont, born on January 27th 1940, passed away peacefully on April 8th 2024, at home surrounded by her children in Maui, Hawaii.
Patricia was known by many names - Patricia, Pat, Patty, Trish, Mrs. P., Mimi, Mom...and this was quite appropriate because she was a force - that couldn't be contained by just one name. While her demeanor was humble and quiet, she was never to be underestimated. When things needed to be done she was often 10 steps ahead of everyone - literally and figuratively. Raised in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, and a lifelong resident of Burlington, Vt - she was ever attached to her natural surroundings - her gardens and flowers were breathtaking. Her gardening skills transferred nicely to Maui where later in life she would spend half her year on the island. Appreciating beauty and tranquility was a lifelong passion of hers - and she made sure that she could do just that ONLY after she'd put in a full day of earning it through her sweat and determination. When the sun was setting low over the mountains, reflecting off the waters of Lake Champlain in Vermont or the Pacific Ocean in Maui, you could see her bliss as she listened to the songs of the birds she enjoyed so much...
She is predeceased by her husband Paul Preseault, her parents, Armand and Norma Morin and her grandson, John Huxley Hammond.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Holly Hammond, Todd (his wife Debra) Preseault and J. Paul Preseault (his partner Heather Heinlein). Patricia has two sisters, Bonnie Jean Tasha and Marguerite Tyrell. Her grandchildren are: Erika, Ethan, and Kai Preseault, James Radley Hammond, Sophia Strouse and Jackson Heinlein-Preseault.
Memorial services in Vermont will be announced in the future. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to Hospice Maui.
