Paul Anthony Freitas' Obituary
Paul Anthony Freitas, 65, of Wailuku, Maui, passed away
peacefully on February 25, 2018, at Hospice Maui Hale.
Paul was born on December 3, 1952, in Wailuku, Maui.
He worked for Haleakala Dairy for 30 years, and later
retired early from Miyake Concrete to be the one and
only salesperson for his wife’s dress shop, Girls Heaven,
on Lower Main Street in Wailuku.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at St.
Anthony Catholic Church for the public from 7:00pm to
8:00pm, with mass to begin at 8:00pm. Nakamura
Mortuary assisted with arrangements. Family requests
aloha attire. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
Hospice Maui.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Sarah S. Firth; daughter,
Sarah M. Freitas; son, Matthew T. Freitas; granddaughters,
Kaira Freitas, Kylie Freitas; grandson, Moku Ponce;
brothers, Kenneth “Blackie” Freitas, Ernest J. Freitas,
Gregory Freitas; sisters, Shirley Cravalho (Clarencedeceased),
Margie (Jim) Webb, Mary (James) Basco. He
was predeceased by his parents, Ernest Arthur Freitas
and Cecilia (DeRego) Freitas; and brother, Leroy
“Blondie” Freitas.
A heartfelt gratitude goes out to the entire staff at
Hospice Maui Hale, who provided the most exceptional
care for Paul and family during his final days.
