Paul Kastner's Obituary
Paul Kastner peacefully left this earth on June 19th with his beloved wife Phyllis Sato at his side. He leaves behind a legacy as an environmentalist, conservationist, educator and one who had respect for all living things. He also leaves behind his family of friends on both Maui, Whidbey Island, his family in Wisconsin and Illinois, and other locations where those who loved him now call home. Paul found joy in his fifteen years of volunteer work at the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens, both in the work and in the friendships that he nurtured in this beautiful garden dedicated to native plants and culture of Hawaii. To be loved and missed by many is a tribute to the man Paul was. Farewell dear friend. We will always hold you in our hearts. Private services were held. Donations can be made in Paul’s name to Maui Nui Botanical Gardens, PO Box 6040, Kahului, HI 96733
