Presidio Flor Padron, 82, of Kahului, passed away on January 9, 2018 at Islands Hospice Hale. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Nakamura Mortuary, with a memorial service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow Read Obituary
Flor was a respected and loved friend who would give you the shirt off his back. He could skillfully repair almost anything and was always willing to help others. He had a great sense of humor that matched his serious side. We used to have conversations on all sorts of subjects. We became friends almost fifty years ago, and although we hadn't been in touch the last twenty-five or so, we had the kind of friendship that picks up where it left off, comfortable like slipping on old worn slippers. Rest in Peace, dear Flor.
Uncle Flor remains a HERO to me. I looked up to him growing up in Hawaii and throughout life. His lifetime commitment to God, Family and Country made a permanent impression on me. Peace.
