He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Amy Kuuleinani Morondos; parents, Emiliano and Celerina; siblings, Mercedes Clark, Rodrigo Morondos, and Lolita Morondos Grimes.
Rex was known for his “go for da gusto” attitude and running amuck while growing up in Puunene. More importantly, he was a jack of all trades and the “MacGyver” of our family. He was a good auto mechanic and an avid fisherman and diver. He learned how to fix the throw nets and lay nets from our Uncle Pablo and he knew how to spot the tako while diving. But his favorite all time was Ulua fishing. His knowledge of the ocean was expansive. And he loved sharing his knowledge with those who were interested. One of his dreams was landing the elusive Ulua. One night, his dream came true and he landed a nice one. He was so excited, he brought it home and cleaned it. It was the best sashimi we’ve had. He loved going to the beach and spending time with his family. But his ultimate pride and joy was his children and grandchildren, which he loved very much.
We will dearly miss his free spirit, craziness and loving heart. Rest In Love, Tito!
