Richard Vargas Jr., 73, of Kihei Passed away on December 27, 2020 In the comfort of his home. Richard was born on January 11, 1947 To Confessor and Evalyn Vargas in Puunene, Maui. He was an accomplished Golden Glove boxer that proudly served three years in Vietnam. He was a retired HC&S and longshoreman employee, who loved to travel. He was survived by his two sons Robert (Terri ) along with Daniel ( Hannah) Vargas. Along with his four grandchildren; Keola, Kawika, Ikaika, and Kamalani Vargas and one great granddaughter Kaya Vargas. His siblings include ; Joseph, Bobby, Paul, Anthony (deceased), Marie, and Janet. Services will be held at Nakamura mortuary on January 12, 2021 at 9 a.m. Richard will be laid to rest with the love of his life Pamela K. Vargas, on January 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Maui Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
