Robert "Bobby" De Mattos, 65 from Kula & O'okala passed away suddenly on December 10,2019 in O'okala, Hi.
He was born September 20, 1954 in Honokaa, Hi.
He retired from Maui Community Correctional Center and previously worked for Maui County Fire Department and E.T. Ige Construction.
Service will be Saturday January 11, 2020 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Kula. Viewing starting at 9am and mass at 11am.
Burial will be Wednesday January 15, 2020 at O'okala Catholic Cemetery at 9am.
Homelani Memorial Park on the Big Island and Nakamura Mortuary on Maui assisted with arrangements.
He was predeceased by his parent's George and Rita as well as his brothers Gordon and Mark De Mattos.
He is survived by His wife of 47 years Laura Montalvo De Mattos. His Children Denise (Corey) Kusunoki, Dee Ann (Kenneth) Morreira and Robert "Robby" De Mattos Jr.. His Grandchildren-George"Keoki", Corey Jr.,Cameo-Noel and Chasen Kusunoki, Peyton Morreira, Kymani De Mattos. Great-Grandchildren- Kalen, Jalen & Lily Kusunoki, Step-Grandchildren- Kristen, Kelsey and Bryceton Morreira, His Hanai Mother Monica Cockett, His Brother Jimbo Mederios, Brother in laws- William Kennison (deceased) Clarence(Charlene) Montalvo & Glenn Montalvo, and Sister in law- Norma Fernandez.
He loved spending time with his family and animals, working on his ranch and his motorcycle. He especially loved being with his grandchildren.
