Beau and I met in 1982 in Paia when he worked at Bounty Music. We spent a lot of time talking about music and our favorite guitar players. Beau gave me a cassette of his friend Jorge Strunz who is a world class guitarist. A couple years later Beau gave me his phone number when I moved to LA to study guitar and Jorge became a mentor to me. The connection happened thanks to Beau and I’ll always be grateful to him for that!
Whenever I saw him in recent years we’d still talk about our current favorite musicians, guitars or maybe even some sports.

I met Beau in the late 90's when I was performing at the 4 Seasons Hotel in Wailea. He was the sweetest guy ever. We played lots of music together and performed as a duo in the lobby lounge at the 4 Seasons numerous times including New Years Eve. I still have a CD of that performance which he recorded. I'll have to find it and share it. I pray that Beau is in a better place and relieved that his suffering is over. I'm thankful to have know such a loving and kind man. My condolences go out to his family. I wish you all peace.
