Robin Gaffney's Obituary
Robin Elizabeth Gaffney, born in Honolulu on July 15, 1951, passed away
peacefully in Kula, Maui, on June 19, 2023. Daughter of Robert T. and
Constance H. Gaffney, Robin grew up in Honolulu and spent many
wonderful weekends and holidays at Malaekahana. She graduated from
Punahou School with the class 1969 and from the University of Denver in
1973, after which she went to work in the fashion industry. Robin moved to
Hana, Maui in 1987 to help care for her recently disabled mother, and in
1989 met her long-term partner, woodworker Gaylord Stadshaug, who was
at her side until the end. Robin was gracious, generous, and a reliable
friend to the many who crossed paths with her during her 71 years. She
loved her dogs, and especially walking ‘Razzie’ along the rugged shoreline
of Hana.
Robin is also survived by her siblings Rick Gaffney (Kona), Susan Morgan
(Honolulu) and Peter Gaffney (Kipahulu), as well as nieces and nephews
Duke Morgan and Heather Morgan Myint and Makana and Kanoa Gaffney,
and grand nieces and nephews Ziggy and Zeya Morgan Myint and Heath
Morgan.
