Hey Rodger Dodger: Been thinking of you and just realized it's your 10th deathaversary. Gosh, we sure did have a good time, didn't we!
My name is Bill Kistler from Glendora California. Rodger and I met while he lived in Long Beach, around 1993 or so. We dated for a few months and I was very much in love with Rodger. I loved his carefree, fun, and crazy/silly personality. Rodger decided to move up to the Bay area of California and pursue his cooking career. He broke off our relationship and I remember being devastated, looking back I think he was protecting me. We kept in touch for a while, but our contacts with each other became less and less as we each pursued our own paths through life. A few years ago I tried to reconnect with Rodger and eventually heard the very sad news of his passing. I was crushed by the news and wanted that one additional conversation with Rodger. I searched in vain for some old photos of us together but just could not find them.... Today while searching through and old box of things I finally found the photos of us, what a flood of wonderful memories brought back by these photos!! I love you Rodger James Shortell and think of you often, even to this day!! Rest in peace my beautiful friend, may your friends and family find some joy in these photos and my memory of you.
All my love,
Bill Kistler

In life we meet many people.
And if were so blessed we meet someone special like Raja.
Whose spirit and soul always shined in love and positive care of others.
As much that my heart ache's to lose such a friend, I know he is watching over us all. And finally Heaven will have a four star restaurant. Miss you.
Raja our Shining Star
The angels looked down from heaven one night
They searched for miles afar,
And deep within the distance
They could see a shining star.
They knew that very instant
That the star was theirs to gain,
So they took you up to heaven
Forever to remain.
Look down on us from heaven
Keep us free from hurt and pain,
You'll always be within my heart
Until we meet again.
