Rodolfo G. Prieto's Obituary
Rodolfo Ganti Prieto, known affectionately as Rudy, passed away peacefully on August 2nd, 2024, in his son’s home in Lynnwood, Washington, at the age of 77. Born on May 13, 1947, in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Rudy lived a wonderful life in Maui, Hawaii marked by the love, respect, and admiration of his family, friends, and community.
Rudy’s talents were many. He was an avid golfer and a jack of all trades in construction. A beloved husband, son, grandfather, and friend, Rudy had a big heart to help anyone who needed it.
Rudy is survived by a large and loving family, including his father Ermoginiz Prieto, stepmother Gloria Prieto, brothers Severino (wife Petrona), Pompei (wife Elizabeth), and Gerald (wife Charene) Prieto, sisters Edith (wife Michelle) Prieto and Gudelia (husband Ernesto) Ganal, his devoted wife Gregoria (Gloria) Prieto, and his sons Rodney (wife Rachel), Roland (wife Danielle), Rowell (wife Dina), Glenn, and Michael Prieto. He leaves behind cherished grandchildren Everett, Aidan, and Cerys Prieto and granddogs Maya, Winston, Ivy, Bean, and Milo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sabina Ganti Prieto.
Rudy’s family invites friends and community members to join them in honoring his life on Saturday September 21st, 2024, at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wailuku, Hawaii. Public visitation begins at 9:30 am followed by Funeral Mass & Prayer Service at 11:00 am. Following Mass, the burial will take place at Maui Memorial Park at 12:30 pm.
