Ronaldo Cruz Espiritu's Obituary
Ronald C. Espiritu, 58, of Kahului, passed away on June 13, 2024 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on October 19, 1965 to the late Alberto and Teresita (Cruz) Espiritu.
Services will be held on August 10, 2024 at Nakamura Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 10:00am; with a prayer service at 11:00am. Mr. Espiritu will be laid to rest in Pilar Bataan, Philippines. Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.
Ronaldo started working as security at the Pilar Bataan Municipal City Hall. Traveled to Saudia Arabia where he worked as a civilian laundry attendant for 30 years, at a military compound.
He was introduced to his wife, Elsa in 1999, through her uncle that served with him there. They became penpals for a year. They were married in 2001. They both moved to Hawaii in 2006. After arriving here, he worked as a landscaper at Sugar Beach Resort for 17 years. And held a secondary job, at McDonald’s for 3 years, Krispy Kreme for 5 years then became a store crewman at Jollibee’s for 2 ½ years.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 23 years, Elsa (Manglicmot) Espiritu; sons, Ronaldo M. Espiritu Jr. and Jefferson Adams Espiritu; sisters, Maria Teresita Eugenio, Recy C. Espiritu, Nancy C. Espiritu; brother, Albert C. Espiritu; six nephews and 2 nieces.
Ronaldo was hardworking and very loving and supportive towards his family. He had a love for cars and made sure he had the latest model every year. He will be dearly missed.
