Rosalina Fernandez Tagayona Bulosan's Obituary
Rosalina Fernandez Tagayona Bulosan, 104 has left us to be with our loving Father on June 26, 2020. She was born and raised in Saoit, Burgos, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on August 15, 1915.
Rosalina was the third child of 15 siblings. She was married to the late Ismael Magana Bulosan in 1935 and blessed with 11 children, including twin and 1 stepson in Taguiporo, Bangui, Ilocos Norte. She was the mother of Ester (Laureano+) Ingia-en, Rebecca+ (Manuel) Pascua, Inesflora+ (David) Simpson, Presentacion (Fedelito+) Agrade, Bernabe (Virginia) Bulosan, Diana (Benny) Mariano, Evelyn (Cedecias) Companero, Melyros (John) Jackson, Raquel Bulosan+, Rogelia Bulosan+, Wilfred (Nora) Bulosan, and Moises Bulosan (Stepson).
Rosalina has 36 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren, all of whom she loved and touched deeply. Over the years, in times of peace and war, through the difficult economic times and periods of abundance, she lived through the Great Depression, two pandemics (Spanish Flu and COVID-19), World War I and II, and witnessed the rise of technology. She spent the last day of her life in good spirits, enjoying listening to music and family singing hymns over her. Thank you for all your love, support, and prayers. You truly gave her deep joy and meaning in the last years of her life!
Due to the pandemic, family will exclusively celebrate her life on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 8:30am until 2:00pm at Nakamura Mortuary and will be live streamed via Facebook. Burial will follow at 2:00pm at Maui Memorial Park-Maui View.
