After serving his time in the Army, he began his 40year career as an electrical engineer with the US Navy Department. He was never married but had many friends from the Navy Department. In the last years of his life, he found a group of friends to spend Friday night dinners with at Tippy’s Tacos. Roy is survived by a brother, Edwin (Ann) Okamoto and a sister, JoAnn (Howard) Umehira; and several nieces and nephews. He was a sweet brother with a big heart a giver . . he even bought mom, Ed, and JoAnn their own sets of Noritake China, when he was overseas! He loved to take pictures and would always have his camera with him wherever he went. Roy will be missed by his family and friends.
