Rudolpho "Rudy" Baraoidan's Obituary
Rudolpho "Rudy" Baraoidan 73, of Lahaina gained his angel wings peacefully on Friday May 23,2025 at Hale Makua Wailuku. Rudy also known as Uncle Rudy was born in Lahaina on September 9,1951. He lived in Lahaina most of his life and graduated from Lahainaluna High School in 1969, he then moved to Oahu where his working career began as a mechanic and then moved to Maui to be part owner of West Maui Auto Body. He then switched careers to be a Bar Porter at Tiki Terrace at Kaanapali Beach Hotel, then worked at Take Home Maui in the stores deli, and lastly at Papakea Resort in maintenance. He retired in 2017. Uncle Rudy is preceded by his parents Alfredo Sr. & Maria Baraoidan, a brother Santiago "Sonny" (Rand) Baraoidan and his adopted sister Adela Baraoidan. He is survived by 3 brothers Alfredo Jr. "Bobby" (Linda) Baraoidan, Rogelio "Reggie"(Mariquet) Baraoidan, adopted brother Joseph Baraoidan, 4 sisters Linda(Marino)Agapay, Pat(Craig) Hayase, Edralen Baraoidan, and adopted sister Gerilyn Baraoidan. Numerous Nephews, Nieces, Grand, and Great.
Services will be held on Saturday June 28th, 2025 from 3pm to 7pm at Nakamuras Mortuary. Public Viewing from 3pm to 4pm with services at 4:15p. Dinner to follow at 5:30p. On Sunday June 29th private scattering of ashes for family and close friends at 9:30am. Location will be announced at services.
