Sadamu Okuni's Obituary
Sadamu Okuni, 93, of Haiku, died peacefully on March 9, 2015, at his residence in Haiku, under care from Islands Hospice and Bayada Home Health Care.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Nakamura Mortuary, with the funeral service beginning at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow immediately after services.
Mr. Okuni was born on February 26, 1922, in Makawao. He was the son of Kanso and Hana Okuni.
He was a mechanic and retired from Maui Land & Pine and was the former owner of Okuni Service Station in Haiku.
He is survived by his wife, Yoshie Okuni, whom he was married to for 65 years before his passing.
He is survived by his son, Robert Kenji Okuni (Sherri); sister, Matsue Hoshino; brother, Akira Okuni; grandchildren, Kai & Kaylie Okuni; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mildred Baker.
