Sadao Yanagi's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sadao Yanagi, who left us on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Sadao was born on April 2, 1946, to Keen and Sodeko Yanagi in Wailuku, Hawaii.
He served in the Vietnam War and dedicated many years to education as both a teacher and administrator for the State of Hawaii. Sadao was known for his passion for teaching and his commitment to his students.
Outside of his professional life, Sadao enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending quality time with friends. His warmth, humor, and wisdom touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed.
Sadao is survived by his son, Ryan Yanagi.
A celebration of Sadao's life will be held on February 8, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Nakamura Mortuary, located at 1218 Lower Main Street, Wailuku, HI.
