Samantha Kapuaokeala Comilang's Obituary
Samantha Kapuaokeala Comilang – A dearly beloved other half, a strong courageous mother, daughter, sister, aunty, cousin, & friend, was called home on May 17th, 2024 – surrounded by her loving family.
Samantha was born to Juno Comilang and Debra Comilang on June 13th, 1980, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Samantha moved to the island of Maui when she was a keiki, and has since called this beautiful place, Home. Throughout her life, she dedicated lots of time and love to her ‘Ohana – showing compassion and kindness to everyone she met. If she did not smell like puas (flowers) from making bouquets & tending to the garden, she would have a hint of saltwater in her hair from fishing.
Samantha is survived by her other half, Malcolm DeFrancia, her children; Chance (Kayla), Abcde, and Destine, her father; Juno Comilang (Nichole), her sisters; Kristen (Greg) and Angelyssa (Justin), and the rest of her many loving family members and friends she had planted her seeds of love in. She is now reunited and resting with her mother, Debra Comilang.
Services for our beloved Samantha Kapuaokeala Comilang, will be held at Nakamura Mortuary (1218 Lower Main St, Wailuku, HI 96793) on June 28th, from 5-8 pm.
Celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
To our Mommy, you may have left us earthside, but you live on through us and within us. When we see all the sunrises and sunsets, rainbows, puas – all the beautiful creations here on Earth, we know that it is you greeting us and showing us how much you love us.
A hui hou mom, until we meet you again
