Satsuko “Sally” Yumen Hiyakumoto, 94, of Kahului, died on July 1, 2015, at her home, under the care of Hospice Maui.
Private services were held at Kahului Hongwanji Mission.
Mrs. Hiyakumoto was born May 28, 1921, in Wailuku, HI. She worked as a cashier for many years at Noda Market. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Hiyakumoto was predeceased by her husband, Sadao “Popsie” Hiyakumoto, and is survived by her sons, Mark (Ann) Hiyakumoto, and Gerald Hiyakumoto; daughters, Lynette (Kenneth) Mizuo, and Diane (Jules) Ino; brothers, Stanley, Thomas, and Alvin Yumen; sister, Stella Matsuko; 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
