Shigeyoshi "Cupie" Nakamura's Obituary
Shigeyoshi “Cupie” Nakamura, 94, of Lahaina, passed away on September 25, 2017 at his residence under the care of Islands Hospice and his loving family.
Services were held privately at his request. Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
Born on April 3, 1923, to Jusaku and Yoshino Nakamura; raised in Puukolii Camp in Lahaina, spent most of his adult life in Honolua Camp. He was a very generous and kind man with many friends, he loved to fix things, he also was very artistic, loved to take care of his garden, and did Community Service. He retired as a Machine Operator for Maui Land and Pineapple Company.
Mr. Nakamura is predeceased by his wife, Tomie Nakamura survived by his son, Dennis (Marsha) Nakamura; daughter, Ariel El Miel aka Lynette; sisters, Haruno Nagata, Rene Kubo, Toyoko (Osamu) Kitamura and Nobuko Hew.
