Shoichi Hisamoto's Obituary
Sho Hisamoto of Wailuku passed away peacefully on March 9, 2021 at his residence. He was under the supportive care of his family, caregivers and Hospice Maui. Born in Colorado, Sho moved to Maui in the 1950’s shortly after marrying his wife, Audrey. In 1958, he opened Hisamoto Body & Fender and held on to his business for 59 years before retiring.
He is survived by his children, Steve (Sun) Hisamoto, Tami (Dan) Sato, and Chuck (Stacie deceased) Hisamoto; four grandchildren, Asa, Taryn, Chuck Jr., and Christopher; four step grandchildren Priscilla, Chanel, Jodi Ann and Noah; and two great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister, Ruby Taziri of Colorado.
A walk thru visitation will take place on April 15, 2021 at Nakamura Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Due to COVID19 limitations, a private service will be held. Burial to follow the next day at Maui Memorial Park.
Wearing of masks and social distancing will be required throughout.
