Simeon, or as we affectionately called him, Sammy, was my uncle—yes, my uncle, despite being six years younger than me! 😊 He was grandma’s little opihi, and trust me, no one dared to mess with him when she was around, even if he was the one stirring the pot! 😂
After we lost Mac and grandma, Sammy had a tough road ahead, especially at such a young age. But wow, I am so proud of him! He totally turned his life around and dedicated himself to his children and grandchildren. The love he had for them was nothing short of extraordinary—powerful, inspiring, encouraging, disciplined, and above all, unconditional! 💖
One of my favorite memories with Sammy was when he came to the BI for my other uncle’s wedding. He brought his kids, and you could see the joy on his face as he introduced them to the ohana. It was a beautiful moment connecting as a family! We couldn’t help but laugh because between the two of us, we had a whopping 14 kids! 🤦🏽♀️😂 We’d joke, “Well, we definitely did our part to keep the bloodline going!”
I miss you, Sammy, but I find comfort knowing you’re up there with Mac, Grandma, Gino, Yolanda, and Tita, probably sharing stories and laughs. Love ya, Sammy! Aloha oe, until we meet again! 🥰💞
