Stanley Masayoshi Miyabara's Obituary
Stanley Masayoshi Miyabara, 80, of Kahului, passed away at home on January 2, 2017.
Family services were held on Oahu. Please, no koden or flowers.
Stanley was born on May 18, 1936 in Lahaina, to Masaki & Shizue Miyabara. He graduated from Lahainaluna with the class of 1954. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and in October of 1960, he married his love, Scharlyne Rodgers. The young couple had two children. In Tennessee, Stanley owned and operated an automotive shop for many years. Once he moved back to Maui, he was a mechanic at Mike’s Automotive in Kahului.
Mr. Miyabara was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Scharlyne Miyabara, and his treasured shih-tzu, Koko. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Kina (Les) Silva; son, Keith (Mitsuko) Miyabara; grandson, Lexton Silva; granddaughter, Azusa Miyabara; and greatgrandson, Ezekiel Silva. He is also survived by sisters, Myrtle Takamori & Judy Gawel; brothers, Richard & Glenn (Jackie) Miyabara; and many loving cousins, nieces & nephews.
