Starr Simonsen's Obituary
Starr Simonsen
April 24, 1987 - April 11, 2021
Starr was a very kind and loving soul and always put others before herself. She fiercely loved her family, chosen ohana, fur babies, friends and life.
Starr always wanted to help others. She joined the medical field to share her experiences with those who needed it most. She was truly a pillar or strength and inspiration.
Starr left behind two horses, Pano and Zoey, who she loved unconditionally. Since she was six years old she has had horses in her life and loved every minute of it. Zoey, her newest yearling filly, was to be her new journey into horse training.
Starr also loved to exercise. She had every workout video imaginable and she had a passion for boxing. Even though her family was leery of the thought of her boxing, Starr followed her passion and went to the UFC gym on Oahu while she was attending UH Manoa. She enjoyed it very much and wanted to continue that journey on Maui when she moved back.
Starr was a joint owner of a cleaning business on Maui that she ran with her sister Sara. This was an opportunity for the two of them to work together and follow their dreams for the future.
Starr’s sudden passing is still a shock to everyone who knew her. She is survived by her father Dale and her sister Sara. She is reunited once more with her mother Martha and among many more who welcome her with love. She was a fighter till the very end. She will be forever loved and missed but never forgotten.
