Stella Hisaye Kimura's Obituary
Stella Kimura, 86, of Wailuku, Maui, passed away at Maui Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family on August 23rd, 2023.
She was predeceased by her husband, Shigeharu “Galo” Kimura, and her siblings Scott (Sue) Sato, Yasuo Sato, Edith (Zenkichi) Shimabuku, Edna (Motoshi) Tokunaga, Evelyn (Thomas) Ikeda and Kenneth (Jean) Sato. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Paulette (Chris) Kimura-Shimabukuro, Iris (Herman) Kimura-Carpio and Roxane (Roger) Kimura-Hubin. Grandchildren: Devin & Megan Shimabukuro, Maika & Mahie Carpio and Rylee Hubin, 2 great-grandchildren, and Kayleen Sato, her sister-in-law.
“There are special people in our lives who never leave us, even after they are gone. We do not remember days, we remember moments. Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because of the memories we shared.”
Her Celebration of Life will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
