In Loving Memory of Sumiko Shishido
Sumiko Shishido, age 95, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026.
Born on January 10, 1931, in Japan, Sumiko carried with her the strength, resilience, and traditions of her homeland throughout her life. She built a life centered on hard work, family, and community.
Sumiko was the proud owner of her own restaurant, where she worked as a dedicated cook for many years. Through her cooking, she shared not only meals but also warmth and hospitality with everyone who walked through her doors. Her food brought comfort and joy to countless friends, customers, and loved ones.
She is lovingly survived by her son, David Shishido, four grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest pride, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Sumiko will be remembered for her strong spirit, generous heart, and the love she expressed through her cooking and devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and the many lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Memorial Service will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Monday, March 9th, 2026 From 9:00am-12:00pm
