Dear Mrs Saki, Mona, Brian, Chad,
I’m so sorry about your husband/dad. Keith just read about it in the Maui News on-line. I hope you know how much your entire family meant to my family and I. You dad was such a good neighbor, always there to help and support my parents. I truly appreciated him after my dad died and how you helped look after my mom. You were there to help take care of her while she lived alone.
My fondest memories are sitting with Mr. Saki in the front yard under the shade. I actually picture him there right now. In fact, we always expected to see him sitting there in the afternoon. He would tell me that people might think him nosey because he’s always out front watching. But I always told him that he wasn’t nosey, just a good neighbor. I really appreciated him watching out for the neighbors.
I’m now regretting I didn’t have time to visit the last time I was home. It was such a short visit and for a busy reason. Please know how much I cared for him and your family. Mr. Saki will always remain in my heart.
Love,
Marilyn Murakami
