TeriLyn Haidl's Obituary
In Loving Memory of TeriLyn Haidl
5/31/1968-11/29/2023
TeriLyn Haidl, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and lifelong friend, embraced life with the rhythm of dance and the vibrant hues of her joyful spirit. Born in San Jose, California on May 31, to Sheri Lyn and Don Vandervoort, her family moved to Santa Cruz shortly after where she grew up. Teri Lyn's journey was marked by the graceful cadence of dance, instilled in her from a young age by her mother, who owned a dance studio. Growing up in the world of dance, Teri Lyn developed a passion for movement that she later turned into a professional career. Her artistry transcended the stage, intertwining seamlessly with her role as a devoted mother to her sons, Aidan and Mason, and daughter Alexy (son-in-law Nick). The joy of grandmotherhood further brightened her life, with Brooks, Reece, and Emily bringing laughter and love into her days.
Teri Lyn's childhood love for horses and dance blossomed into lifelong friendships with friends who became family. Her vibrant spirit extended beyond the dance studio and stables, as she reveled in celebrating holidays with her family, making each occasion a special and cherished memory. Known for her love of bright colors, Teri Lyn infused joy into every corner of her life. Her enthusiasm for dancing was matched only by her passion for creating festive holiday celebrations, leaving an enduring mark on her family. Sunflowers held a special place in her heart, reflecting the warmth and radiance she brought to those around her.
Teri Lyn is survived by her husband Marc, her sons, Aidan and Mason and daughter Alexy (Nick Rollins), grandchildren Brooks, Reece and Emily. Her brother Todd (Gail Vandervoort) and nieces Brittany and Elle. She preceded in death by her loving parents Don and Sheri Lyn Vandervoort and brother Steven Vandervoort.
As we bid farewell, let us remember Teri Lyn for the grace with which she danced through life, the love she shared, and the vibrant tapestry of memories she leaves behind. May her spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know and love her.
