TERUO CHARLES TOMITA, aged 98, passed away on September 27, 2025, in Wailuku. Born in Kaupakalua in 1927, Charlie dedicated 45 years as a mechanic at Kahului Trucking and Storage, a testament to his hardworking and meticulous https://nature.In his leisure, Charlie was an avid fisherman and a tinkerer, always ready to fix anything that needed repair. He enjoyed watching Japanese shows and UH sports, listening to enka music and trips to Las Vegas. He leaves behind his daughter Marjorie (Craig) Higa, sons Clayton, and Glen (Candace Fujikane); grandsons DeWaine, Tai, and Kota; and 5 great-grandchildren. Charlie is predeceased by his wife Midori; parents Yasushichi and Rui; and siblings Harue, Robert, James, Ray, Janet and Charlotte. Charlie will be remembered for his enduring patience, skillful hands and the quiet strength he provided to his family and friends. A memorial service to honor his life was held in October. The family would like to thank Hale Makua Wailuku-Lanai and Hospice Maui for the excellent care he received.
