Tetsuyo "Norma" Taguchi's Obituary
Tetsuyo ''Norma'' Taguchi, 102, of Kahului, formerly of Lahaina, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026 at Hale Makua Wailuku. She was born in Puunene on January 2, 1924. Married to the love of her life, Hisashi ''Jack" Taguchi, they can reunite again after 26 years since his passing. She loved doing her word search puzzles, watching Japanese programs, and Filipino drama shows in her spare time. She always kept her mind working. She was greatly loved and will be missed by everyone.
She is survived by her two daughters Faith (Michael) Aviles of Los Angeles and Shann (Mark) Kubota of Kahului. She also had a grandson Jayse (Gary) Leavitt of New York City. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff Hale Makua Wailuku and Maui Adult Day Care Center Kahului for their special care during her later years.
A private service was held at the Kahului Hongwanji Mission on a previous date.
