Tokio Jack Kakiuchi's Obituary
Tokio "Jack" Kakiuchi of Kahului passed away on April 22, 2022 at his home under the care of Hospice Maui.
He was born on July 16, 1925 in Paia, Maui. "Jack" retired from Maui Land and Pineapple Company after more that 40 years of service.
He is predeceased by his wife Shizue "Betty" Kakiuchi. Tokio is survived by his son Craig (Jan) Kakiuchi, daughter Eunice (Guy) Muraoka and grandchildren Haley Kakiuchi, Seth Muraoka and Len Muraoka.
The family would like to thank the staff at Maui Orthopedic Institute, Maui Memorial Medical Center, Hospice Maui, Hale Makua, Maui Memorial Park, Reverend Richard Tennes, Nakamura Mortuary and the many friends/family who gave us unconditional love and support during this difficult time.
Public Visitations will be held on Saturday, May 28 from 11-noon at Kahului Hongwanji Mission with a private service to follow. The family requests casual attire. Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with all arrangements.
