Tsuzuki Matsumura's Obituary
Tsuzuki Matsumura, age 95, passed away on July 17, 2025. He was a US Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient who served in the Korean War and later retired after 30 years with the Hawaiian Telephone Company. He is survived by his son, Daryl Matsumura and daughter, Lori (Glenn) Okimoto; brothers Akira, Rodney, Roy and Richard. Grandchildren Elisha (David) Goldfarb, Tawnia (Brandon) Blackman, David (Rebecca) Matsumura; great grandchildren Tomio and Leilani Blackman and Dylan and Devon Matsumura as well as many nephews, nieces and extended family members. He was predeceased by his wife, Leilani, parents Gotaro and Matsumi, brothers Yuwao, Dennis, and Howard; sisters Ellen Nakamoto and Ethel Ujiie. Warmest Mahalo to the staff of the Ulep family, Hospice Maui and Makawao Hongwanji ohana for their care and support. Private services were held and the family kindly requests no Koden.
