Tyler James Rabanal Gonatice's Obituary
Tyler James Rabanal Gonatice, a man of the islands and a friend to many, passed away recently. Born and raised on Maui, Tyler’s life was as vibrant and dynamic as the island he called home.
An avid sportsman, Tyler could often be found on the basketball court, at the tennis nets, or on the golf course. His competitive spirit was equally matched by his skill in games like ping pong and pool. When not engaged in sports, Tyler enjoyed fishing, embracing the tranquility of the sea.
Tyler’s journey took him to Arizona, where he worked diligently as a roofer. His love for Maui called him back, leading him to pursue an apprenticeship program through the Carpenters Union, where he applied his work ethic and skill to his craft.
He is survived by his parents, Lito and Lily Gonatice; his sisters, Christine Gamble (brother in-law Jon Gamble) and Teeffanie Gonatice (Khino Lacuesta); and his grandparents, Thomas and Renehita Rabanal. His legacy continues through his nephews, Xander, Keelan, and Carter, and his nieces, Verena and Gracie.
A man remembered for his laughter, camaraderie, and the time he cherished with family and friends, Tyler’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. We honor his life, his contributions, and the joy he brought to all our lives.
Rest in peace, Tyler. You will be missed but never forgotten.
