Van Uhl Hamilton's Obituary
Van Uhl Hamilton, 60, passed away on January 30th, 2015, in the wonderful care of Maui Memorial Medical Center. Van at last found his peace, and an end to his suffering.
Van was a loving Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Stepfather, and Grandfather. Van was also a very hardworking man, and an accomplished welder in his better days, and he would often joke that he could "weld the crack of dawn if it would only hold still".
Van is survived by his wife, Faith Hamilton; step children, Ralph Lovato, John (Lei Keliilike) Lovato, and Stephanie Newman; brothers, Stephen and Kirk (Kathleen) Hamilton; sisters, Robin Hong, Donna Clark, Deanaa Hooker; step father, Joseph Rodrigues; 8 precious grandchildren, one of whom he raised from infancy as his own, Polo Angulo.
A private scattering of his ashes will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to Robin Hong at: PO Box 584. Wailuku, HI 96793.
