Velma H. Shimabukuro, 92, of Wailuku, died at Hale Makua Kahului on April 10, 2013.
Private services were held.
Mrs. Shimabukuro was born December 6, 1920 in Kaneohe, HI. She was a nurses aid for Hale Makua Kahului.
Predeceased by her husband, Robert Shimabukuro, who passed on Jan. 8, 2008, Velma is survived by her daughters Penelope F. (Norman) Fukumitsu and Susan (Edward) Asato; son Byron T. (Edna) Shimabukuro; sister Masako Higashide.
Velma was a strong Christian woman who was a member of Grace Bible Church, Maui. She loved the Lord with all her heart.
