I loved Kay too! I remember him asking me as a teenager if I liked my history class and I was like "not so much", and he told me to not give up on it because there were so many amazing things to learn-I just needed an open mind and the right teacher. He gave me a few history books that condensed everything down so I could understand the basics without too much other information. The next year, I got an amazing history teacher and I thought of how happy that would make Uncle Kay! Love you Bonnie! You guys are great. Wendy Taylor Semrow
Sorry to hear about the passing of Vigil. Was thankful to have spent some time with him and Bonnie in their home. Sending our love to Bonnie and your family, sorry for your loss. Love Vivian and Stan Schaar
I will miss Kay, he always treated me so special, even as a teeny bopper. I loved it when he would always say "Lynita, hi", it would make me feel loved.
I only had the opportunity to get to know Kay when I came for a 2 week visit with my best friend, Lori, over the winter break from grad school. In that time, I grew to really like and respect him. He made me feel immediately welcomed and at ease. He was friendly, warm, and I loved his sense of humor. What a really really good man. I'm so glad I had the chance to get to know him a bit. I'm so sorry for your loss... With love, Jean Capler
