Virgilio Tumpap Sr.
May 22, 1945 - June 9, 2021
Virgilio Tumpap Sr., of Lahaina, Maui, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 76. He was born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines on May 22, 1945. His beginnings in Hawaii started in Honolulu, O’ahu before growing his family in Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i and later settling in Honolua and Mahinahina in West Maui where he would raise his family. A retiree of Maui Land and Pineapple Company, he took great pride and joy in his humble work as a truck driver. He was very witty and deeply caring. He will be sorely missed by his son, Virgilio Tumpap Jr., daughter, Roseville (Craig) Koyanagi, and his two granddaughters Liv and Ivy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 9 - 10 am at Nakamura Mortuary. Private service to follow. The family kindly ask for those attending to please wear a mask and practice social distancing at all times.
