Wanda Marie Chambers' Obituary
Wanda Marie Chambers was born to Lavern and Margaree Gaines on October 26th, 1949. She was the 5th of 13 children. Lorene, Beverly, Phidella, Joe, Wanda, Charlotte, Lester, Veronica, Darrell, Leonard, Judy, Janet, and Theodore. Preceding Wanda in death was her son Andrew, her husband Eugene, her parents Lavern and Margaree Gaines and siblings Beverly, Joe, Charlotte, Darrell, Janet and Theodore. Wanda was an outstanding student as a child, and she graduated from Phoenix Union High School. After graduation she worked for Motorola as a Quality Control Tester and would work there off and on for many years. Wanda's mother Margaree started to study the bible with Jehovah's Witnesses when Wanda was a young girl and she and her siblings also joined in on the study. The book 'From Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained " had a profound impact on Wanda as a child and as her love for Jehovah grew, she happily made her dedication to Jehovah in 1965. Moving forward in her love for Jehovah, Wanda met her husband to be Eugene Chambers and they were married in 1970 and remained married for 54 years until Gene's passing last year. They had four children, Terrence, Stephanie, Mark, and Andrew. Wanda had a strong devotion to Jehovah and her family, and firmly believed that being a stay-at-home mom and home maker was the best way to care for the family. She lovingly supported Gene over the years and together they worked hard to instill the love they had for Jehovah and the friends into the hearts of their children by always having family worship, attending meetings, and conventions and being out in the ministry regularly. She also lovingly supported the many different congregations, friends and family by planning fun picnics, camping trips, get together with karaoke, and of course those fun trips to Disneyland and Sea World, and the beach. Wanda is well known for her hospitality and aloha. She loved cooking delicious meals and desserts and enjoyed hosting hospitality for the friends, family and many different circuit overseers and their wives. She was also very generous with her time by writing out thank you, get well soon, or whatever type of card the occasion called for and would generously give monetary gifts, and presents to everyone she loved, and she loved everyone. Once her children were grown Wanda pioneered for many years and would actively assist with preparing and serving food to the many different construction and build groups wherever she lived. Wanda whole heartedly loved Jehovah, and she loved the pidgin congregations she attended and had plenty of love and aloha for everyone she met. Her faith and love for Jehovah and people moved her to witness to everyone even expressing her confidence and faith in Jehovah's new world to everyone at the hospital and giving out contact cards until she ran out, even though she was facing much uncertainty. Wanda will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her aloha spirt, her kindness and generosity and her deep love and devotion to Jehovah, her family, and friends. Wanda is survived by her loving children Terrence, Stephanie, Mark, 4 grandchildren and friends and family alike.
