Wilheimina (Wilma) Helm-Kamaka's Obituary
Wilhelmina (Wilma) Helm-Kamaka, 82 of Kahului, Maui passed away on June 24, 2022, peacefully at home under the care of her loving family and Islands Hospice.
She was born on October 21, 1939, in Puunene, Maui to William and Alexandria (Cabral) Helm Jr.
After retirement as a custodian for the Maui Airports Division, Wilma continued to work part time as a housekeeper for Christ the King Parrish in Kahului. Where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister and Catechism Teacher for over 20 years.
A Memorial service will take place at Christ the King Church in Kahului from 9:00am; with mass to begin at 11:00am; on July 22, 2022.
Much appreciation to Islands Hospice for their loving care and support with special thanks to Nurse Melissa. Aloha to all the many family members, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends whom Wilma dearly loved.
Wilma is survived by her living life partner of 10 years Kip Kauhaahaa; children, Joe Bennett (Sheryl), Everett Bennett (Elizabeth), Wesley Bennett, and Theresa Rodrigues (Tracy); grandchildren, Kimberly Bennett (Ola), Shanicka Williams, Jackie Bennett, Joey Bennett, Ashley Basques, Shane Basques; great grandchildren, Duane (Pomai) Kaluau, Monique Rodriguez, Kawaiola Kaila-Nobriga, Lawaia Kaila-Nobriga, Meilani Williams; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, William Helm III (Amy). She is predeceased by her siblings, Gene Helm, Zandra Helm, Richard Helm.
