Winona M. Afaga's Obituary
Winona Afaga, 78, of Kahului, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017, under the care of Islands Hospice, with her loving family by her side.
Services honoring Mrs. Afaga will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Christ The King Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, with Mass beginning at 11:00am.
Mrs. Afaga will be laid to eternal rest at Maui Memorial Park at 12:30pm.

Mrs. Afaga was born on April 30, 1938, in Maui, Hawaii, to William Sr. & Mabel Sakamoto. Winona was a bookkeeper for the hotel industry. She loved to travel, cook, tend to her garden, do arts and crafts, but most importantly, spend time with family.
Winona was predeceased by her great grandson, Elijah Maielua; and sister, Myrna Largosa.
Winona leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 57 years, Pete Afaga; daughters, Maria (Shawn) Farrelly. And Tammy (Jeff) Donohue; son, Jeffrey Afaga; siblings, William Sakamoto Jr, Patricia Nearing, Bruce Sakamoto, Linda Texeira, and Stella Sakamoto; grandchildren, Karmann Afaga, Chloe Afaga, Royal Afaga, Jasmine Maielua-Afaga, Joshua Maielua, Vincent Farrelly, Matthew Farrelly, Tiare Farrelly, Yvonne Donohue, Sonya Donohue, and Kerry Donohue; great grandchildren, Jysaiah Rosaga, Tatiana Rosaga, Kaya Kaiwi, Kori Kaiwi, and Jacob Farrelly-Smith; and many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Elijah Maielua (great grandson) and Myrna (Sakamoto) Largosa (sister).
