Yoshie Higuchi's Obituary
Yoshie Tsuida Higuchi, 98, of Kahului, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Services honoring Mrs. Higuchi were held privately.
Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
Yoshie was born on September 1, 1918 in Lahaina to Suekichi & Tsuji Tsuida, she was the eldest of six children. In 1937, Yoshie married her love, Daniel Tatsuo Higuchi and together they raised four daughters. Mrs. Higuchi retired from the Royal Lahaina Resort as a housekeeper. After her retirement, she spent her days doting on her grandchildren, maintaining her garden, and traveling to Las Vegas. More recently, she enjoyed spending time with friends at the Kaunoa Senior Center.
Mrs. Higuchi was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Tatsuo Higuchi; daughter, Linda Ritsuko Higuchi; son-in-law, Carl Whitford; and great grandchild, Zachary Honda. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters, Edna (Jerry) Yokono; Lillian (Yoichi) Honda; and Nora Whitford; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
