Mr. Hata was my teacher back in 1970's and what I remember the most was how much I respected him and cherished his stories. He talked about being a part of Y Hata but was very humble about it and how he really cherished his daughters. He took us on a field trip to the warehouse and I was so impressed with him as he was so humble. I also remember when he told me about getting a pony for his daughters and how it made him happy to see them happy. He also used to make us sweep and mop the classroom and I remember that I didn't enjoy it but it taught me some discipline and for some reason I wanted to do this for him. I can still see him with his white dress shirt tucked into his blue pants, he was always so professional. Mr. Hata had such a positive impact on my life that I had to look him up. Mr. Hata thank you for being you. I wish I could have thanked you in person but I know you will read this. You definitely made an impact on my life and I know I'm not the only one. God Bless You!
