Yoshino "Ruth" Kobayashi Magarifuji's Obituary
Yoshino K. Magarifuji, 93, of Paia, passed away peacefully at Hale Makua Kahului on December 7, 2016. Services honoring Mrs. Magarifuji were held privately at her request.
Yoshino was born in Keahua on November 22, 1923 to Chuichi & Kiyome Kobayashi. She was a retail clerk at various local businesses on Maui throughout her life. Yoshino enjoyed working in her garden, cooking, and going to Las Vegas with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Itsuo Magarifuji; and son-in-law, Clyde Tanaka. She is survived by her son, Earl (Joy) Magarifuji; daughters, Karen Tanaka and Gail (Peter) Nakamae; brothers, Kunio, Michio, and Wayne Kobayashi; sister, Jeanette Templeman; six grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. The family would like to extend a special mahalo to Hale Makua Kahului and Hospice Maui for the wonderful care they provided Mrs. Magarifuji.
