Yoshio Miyasato's Obituary
Yoshio Miyasato, 84, of Wailuku, died March 3, 2015, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Private services to be held.
Mr. Miyasato was born Dec. 9, 1930, in Puunene, HI. He was a decorated, retired veteran of the U.S. Army. He served his country in the Korean War and Vietnam War. Upon returning home to Maui, he worked in the purchasing department for Ameron Hawaii Maui until retirement.
Mr. Miyasato is survived by his daughters, Miki Miyasato (Richard Nelson) and Naomi (Dean) Saito; granddaughters, Celina Nelson (Brent Thomas) and Tami Saito; great grandson, Zane Thomas; brothers, Shintoku Arakawa, Richard Miyasato, Clarence Miyasato; sisters, Hatsuko Furukawa, Ellen Tamanaha, Hatsuko Gushiken, Julia Kaneyama; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Islands Hospice Maui.
